AirPods Are Apple's Best Product

When I finished my Airbus A350 type rating course, I rewarded myself with a pair of AirPods (Pro Gen 2).

It’s been 3 years, and I write this from the passenger seat of a 787 on my way home to Toronto - AirPods firmly (but comfortably) perched in my ears.

I used to own a pair of Bose QC 35s, and though the noise cancelling was excellent, their size meant having to dig into my bag when getting to my seat, and the same on arrival. And the bluetooth sometimes needed re-pairing. And it was always a conscious thought to bring them with me.

First world problem, I know.

My AirPods live in my pocket or in my ears. While away on trips with work, I walk a lot, use Peloton bikes and rowing machines in hotel gyms, and spend a lot of time calling Bruna and my family.

They just work. Every time.

And even 3 years on, the battery life is still enough to get me through the 7-hour flight home.

Bruna sent hers through the washing machine one day. They now smell lavender fresh, and they still work perfectly.
